In 2025, China’s textile machinery exports exceeded USD 6 billion – more than Germany, Japan, and Italy combined. During the 14th Five‑Year Plan, annual exports averaged USD 5.12 billion, up 38.8% from the previous period, accounting for over 25% of global trade. In Q1 2026, exports reached USD 1.38 billion, up 5.9% year‑on‑year, with knitting, weaving, and dyeing & finishing machinery all growing.

Top destinations: India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.

Why Now?

The fifth global textile relocation is underway. Garment capacity is expanding fast in recipient countries, but dyeing & finishing lags behind –orders come in, but quality and consistency fall short. That’s the gap Chinese dyeing equipment can fill.

At the same time, EU environmental and carbon‑traceability rules are tightening. Low‑liquor‑ratio, energy‑efficient, digital dyeing machines are no longer optional – they’re a must‑have for market access. The question is not whether to upgrade, but when.

These trends create a clear window of opportunity.

Two Customer Types, Two Needs

Not all markets are equal. Here are a few typical ones:

Vietnam: Dyeing & finishing is the weakest link. Garment firms make up 70% of the industry, but dyeing mills only 4%. Domestic fabric meets just 25‑30% of demand – high‑end fabrics and automation rely on imports.
Bangladesh: The world’s second‑largest garment exporter, where dyeing‑finishing capacity seriously lags behind sewing capacity – urgent upgrades needed.
Indonesia: 70‑80% of machinery is over 25 years old and obsolete. The industry is skewed toward garment assembly, with weak weaving and dyeing capabilities.

Ultimately, customers fall into two groups: new mills starting from scratch, and existing mills replacing old equipment.

TECCO Has the Answer for Both

Map these needs against TECCO’s strengths:

1. Complete product range – covering knit and woven, pre‑treatment to finishing, with proven solutions for every dyeing & finishing step.
2. Tech aligned with global compliance – low liquor ratio, energy and water savings have always been TECCO’s DNA, matching what buyers need for both regulation and cost control.
3. Local service as a hidden moat – engineers who know both machines and dyeing processes are the scarcest resource. Machine delivery is just the start; process implementation is what counts. That’s how TECCO moves from “selling machines” to “selling capabilities.”

The industry chain shift is a structural opportunity for Chinese dyeing machine makers. TECCO is ready to take its proven technology – low liquor ratio, energy efficiency, stable dyeing quality – to Southeast Asian mills, ensuring real results on the shop floor.

If you’re exploring overseas markets and want to know how TECCO equipment fits your needs, contact the TECCO sales team.
